Strength & Hope

This is my third 3-d project for this month's Stampers 10.  One of my very first posts to this site was using this bird from the Movers & Shapers Die for a friends 50th wedding anniversary card.  I thought the over lapping of the birds was appropriate for the Strength & Hope Stamp Set.

The pattern for the card is on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator site.  I believe it's pattern #3 under cards.

Anyway, I like how when the card opens, there's a bird at the top and the bottom.

If you are interested in making this project and the bag and box posted prior to this, let me know.  You can either join us at Stampers 10 next Wednesday, the 25th, or you can complete the projects. during an open table session.

May’s Stampers 10 Projects

Our May Stampers 10 get together is Wednesday, the 25th.  With father's day coming up, I was thinking something masculine.  And what better than The Open Sea Stamp set and the Nautical Expedition DSP from the Summer Mini Catalog.  The bag is made with the Newsprint DSP from the Idea Book and Catalog.

I also decided to make some 3-D projects rather than just cards.  The bag is from a tutorial I saw last year on Stampin' With Di. The gift box was from another tutorial, that I saw last year at www.itstimetostamp.blogspot.com

I used the Faux Metal technique to emboss the anchor.

I inked the earth stamp with VersaMark and then Not Quite Navy and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Monogramed Cards

At this month's Stampers 10 Meeting we'll be making Monogramed Cards.  The Designer Series Paper is Elegant Soiree.  We're using the Lovely Letter Alphabet Stamp Set and the coordinating papers and ink – Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Soft Suede and Basic Gray.  The Very Vanilla Card Stock was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and the squares were punched with the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" square punches.

If you're interested in joining a Stamping club and earning all the benefits of being a hostess, contact me at palcrafts@att.net

Sept Stampers Ten Make-n-Take

Our Stampers 10 Club will be meeting Wednesday, September 8 from 6 – 8:30 at my home.  We will be eating dinner, enjoying a little dessert and making a special Make-n-Take project.

Last meeting, we made a Recipe Book, which we will add recipes to each month.

This month's project is a cute little Note Pad Holder.  I just love this Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper and all the colors that go with it – Baja Breeze. Spft Siede. Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Basic Gray.  The Stampin' Up! pens were available at convention this year.

I think this project will be a nice addition to anyone's purse and can be sized to fit most any note pad or post-it note.  They will make great little stocking stuffers, office gift exchange items or teacher's gifts.

Oh, and the little envelope in the bottom right corner – that was made with the new Petal Card Punch and the Cute by the Inch stamp set.

If you'd like to join us, please contact me.  Our group meets once a month through May.  Each member agrees to purchase a minimum of $15 from the Stampin' Up Idea Book and Catalog or the current Mini Catalog.  Each month a different member is the hostess and reaps all the rewards – the free hostess gift and merchandise!  And everyone enjoys dinner and completing an exclusive make-n-take item.

Here's the inside of the Petal Card.  I used the "for you" stamp from Cute by the Inch Stamp Set, but there are so many cute stamps you could add!

Hope you like this project, and again, if you would like to make this and join our Stampers 10 Club, please contact me.

Stampers Ten

Stampers TenAt the first meeting of our Stampers Ten group, we made an adorable recide book.  And we used my favorite Designer Series Paper – Elegant Soiree.  We started the evening with dinner – Shrimp Pasta Salad, my favorite Broccoli Salad and bread from the bread machine.  Dessert was Raspberry White Chocolate Cake!  Yum-oh!!  All recipes were included in the Recipe Books we made that evening.  And we'll add to it over the next nine months.

It's not too late to join this group.  We eat, have fun and make a project exclusive to this group.  Contact me for all the details.  Basically you agree to spend $15 on fabulous Stampin' Up products and you get a turn at earning all the great hostess benefits during your month!

And did I mention we eat and you get recipes?  It's a win-win-win!
