We have a technique class tonight at palcrafts, and one of our regular crafters has a birthday tomorrow. So, to celebrate, in addition to chocolate, I'm presenting her with some flowers. And one of the best things about these – they "live" forever. I got the directions for these from the On-line extras available to Stampin' Up! demonstrators. Another one of those perks associated with being a part of the Stampin' Up! family.
The colors are the 2011-2013 In Colors – Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and Island Indigo. Aren't those names great! The Big Shot dies used were: Blossom Party, Fun Flowers and Flower folds. The Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was Vintage Wallpaper. Punches used included Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer, Fancy Flower, Heart to Heart, and Full Heart.
I made the tag by punching the Decorative Label on a folder piece of Calypso Coral, and stamping a sentiment from Word Play on Whisper White Card Stock. And of course, I had to add a little bling – Basic Rhinestone Jewel.
If you're interested in learning and/or teaching fellow crafters how to make fun projects and gifts like these flowers, contact me at palcrafts@att.net or 321-482-0136.
The joys of insomnia – Stamping!!
I made this card for my sister's birthday. I used products from the new Summer Mini Catalog – Fabulous Florets Stamp set, Beyond the Garden DSP, the new Emboss Powders – Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasbi, Melon Mambo. I think it turned out cute and I hope she did too!
I didn't order the mother's day stamp set from the Occassions Mini, but I have this one – Messages for Mom - from the Idea Book and Catalog. The punched flowers are from the new Triple Layer Punch – Blossom Bouquet – that just came out in the new Summer Mini. The paper is Paisley Petals, which will be in the new Idea Book and Catalog coming out in July.
So I needed a graduation card for a friend's granddaughter who just so happens to love owls. So I came up with this – the stamp set is Curly Cute. I used the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Occassions Mini Catalog. I added a pearl "necklace" to give my owl a girly-girly vibe.

A Very Girlie-Girl Card
I saw this card on Julie Buhler's site, www.paperpleasing.typepad.com today and just had to CASE it!
It's made with Card Stock Vellium, Very Vanilla Card Stock and Designer Series Paper Pattern Pack. The punches used were 5-Petal Flower, Eyelet Border, Scallop Edge Border and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border.
I think this would be any easy card to change up the sentiment and it would be great for a wedding, shower, or baby card.
Too cute!
Autumn Days
I think one of the most asked for cards I get – because I don't do a lot of them – is male birthday cards. I've had the Autumn Days Stamp Set for a while and did some cards at Christmas with the pinecone and willows, but never used the pheasant. So I decided to give the guys the bird – pheasant that is! LOL It's hard to step away from all the pretty vintage designs Stampin' Up! has but there are some really nice masculine ones also.
